DRAM Miniature cards allow you to expand your main memory. Main memory is needed for application execution and user data. The DRAM Miniature cards are an extension of the main memory similar to additional memory in your desktop PC. These cards are not interchangeable with the PC, but do provide the greatest performance. Miniature cards are based on a standard that is now supported by about 50 companies, including the major memory manufacturers. DRAM Miniature cards are small, rugged and easy to use storage cards with DRAM memory. DRAM memory is similar to RAM on your PC. Since most of your applications need RAM to operate, we recommend that you use DRAM cards for your first upgrade. Unlike Flash memory cards, DRAM cards are volatile and can not be removed from your system without losing data. DRAM is very useful for storing data, such as the contents of your contact manager.
