DESCRIPTION
The ADVANTAGE IDE is a totally integrated development environment for developing programs for the Sharp PC-1270 or PC-V550A. Now you can develop and test programs on your PC without the use of any additional hardware components, then burn the final version in 10 seconds or less using the compact Lightning Programmer.

Extensive Debugging Capabilities

Integrated Editor and Debugger let you run or step through all or part of your program as fast or slow as you want. Browse through our Message windows for lists and locations of program errors. Double-click on a message, and jump to the source code location. Set breakpoints on program locations or variable values. And, you can inspect the contents of variables automatically as your program executes!

Automated Testing

Record, store and playback test scripts for all your programs. No more guesswork over whether all your software was tested consistently and reliably. Use full or partial scripts to test all or portions of your program.

Complete Emulation of Computer and Printer

Open a window and run your program on a virtual hand-held computer. Open another window and inspect the printer output. (And we think you'll like the speed of our "virtual printer" a lot better than the real one.) Send the output to your regular printer for later review and convenient storage. And say goodbye to those impossible-to-file, calculator-style tapes.

Complete Online Help System

Look up any topic you need, whether it's a question about the Advantage Basic interpreter, the IDE commands, or tips on programming for EPROM cartridges. Our Help system even responds to clicking on highlighted BASIC keywords in your source code.
